The “Vila Franca House” project is a typical house from the Douro region of Portugal, with local materials such as schist and granite. The intervention considers the pre-existence as a memory and adapts the interior spaces to the new program – wine tourism – with the insertion of new volumes of wood that are slightly involved in the existing volume.
