“Espaço Cénico, Arquitectura e Cidade” [Scenic Space, Architecture and City] is a book published after the conclusion of Andreia Garcia’s PhD in Architecture and offers a reflection on the city and the scenery as an enabler of the social and community purpose of public space.
The themes taken in the book are, on one side, Urban History, namely in the domains of City History; and, on the other side, the History of Culture, from the point of view of space as cultural production, explained in the context of the European Capital of Culture event, establishing, in this way, articulation between different perspectives of contemporary urban culture.
